MENTAL HEALTH CARD DECKS

Why I Created These Decks

As a therapist, I’ve sat with hundreds of people through their pain, growth, overwhelm, and breakthroughs. And one thing has always been clear: we need tools we can actually reach for when life gets messy - not just in the therapy room, but in the real, everyday moments.

That’s why I created these card decks, to bring the most powerful parts of therapy into your hands. One deck (What Would My Therapist Say?!) offers the grounding, validating, perspective-shifting words that therapists say all the time... the stuff clients often say they wish they could hear again between sessions. The second deck (Coping Skills on the Go) gives practical, effective strategies to help regulate your nervous system, shift your mindset, and care for your emotional well-being in real time.

These decks are portable. Nonjudgmental. No appointment needed. They're like a pocket-sized therapist whispering, “You’ve got this and here’s how.”

Why Coping Skills Matter So Much

Life will life. Stress, grief, burnout, anxiety, shame ... none of us are immune. But the difference between feeling overwhelmed versus feeling equipped is having a robust set of coping skills at your fingertips.

When we don’t know how to manage big feelings or hard situations, we often numb out, lash out, or internalize. But when we build up our emotional toolbox with grounding practices, self-soothing techniques, and mindset reframes, we shift from reacting to responding. That’s emotional resilience.

Coping skills aren’t about avoiding hard things. They’re about reminding yourself: I can handle this. I have tools. I know what to do next.

And that’s what these decks are here for.

To walk you back to yourself, one card at a time.

None of these resources are a replacement for therapy or medical advice, but they can give you good insight and a good place to start!
